Q&A
What gives you the most satisfaction at work?
Helping clients put their wealth to work in meaningful ways. Sometimes the real value is showing them they can afford to give to causes they care about. Sometimes it's simply helping move the dollars. But seeing people use their wealth to help others never gets old.
What inspired you to pursue financial planning?
Honestly, I was drawn to finance because it offered a practical and versatile career path at a time when I was still figuring out exactly what I wanted to do. What has kept me here is the impact. I get to help people make meaningful decisions every day, and the learning never stops. There are always new problems to solve, new laws to understand, and new ways to help clients move forward.
What’s your favorite travel destination?
Somewhere I’ve never been. The world's greatest gift is that there is always more to discover. Its greatest tragedy is that no one gets to discover it all. But we can try!
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Spending time with family/friends. Preferably outside: Cycling, running, walking, soccer, volleyball, pickleball, tennis, hiking and skiing.
What was your first job?
My first job was at Grandma’s Gardens in Waynesville, Ohio. It was a great experience and taught me what good customer service looks like and how to drive a Bobcat. My mom still works there!
What’s are some fun facts about you?
I’m married to my best friend, Jordan Walters. She’s an ER vet. We have a dog, whose name is Han Solo. I’ve been vegan since 2019. I love to read and prefer fiction/fantasy/sci-fi. And for a particularly random fun fact, after college, when I was living on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts, I used to climb coconut trees to harvest and sell the water!
