Q&A

What is a lesson you've learned that has shaped your professional approach?

I've learned that success is rarely a straight line. My career has included both successes and setbacks. Those experiences taught me to stay curious, challenge conventional thinking and not be afraid to change course when the facts change. I bring that same mindset to investing and financial advice today. I believe good advice requires discipline and analysis, but also humility, the willingness to keep asking questions, and the ability to recognize when there's a better way to solve a problem.

What do you enjoy most about helping clients?

I love solving problems. Some of the most rewarding situations are the ones that don't have an obvious answer and require us to look at a client's investments, taxes, goals and circumstances, together. I enjoy taking something complicated, breaking it down and finding a solution that makes sense. But what I value most are the relationships I build along the way. I genuinely care about my clients personally, and over time, many of them begin to feel more like family. Their goals, challenges and successes matter to me beyond the numbers.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

My wife and I welcomed twin boys, Beau and Brooks, in August of 2026, so life outside of work looks a little different these days! Most of my free time revolves around our family, and I've quickly become very familiar with bottles, diapers and operating on less sleep than I once thought possible. I enjoy watching sports, gardening and canning, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

What is a skill or hobby you've developed outside of work?

I'm a bit of a DIY person. I enjoy figuring out how things work and learning how to do things myself, whether that's taking on a home renovation project, working outside, cooking or preserving food. I'm naturally curious, so if I don't know how to do something, my first instinct is usually to research it until I'm convinced I can figure it out myself.

What is a hidden talent or fun fact about you?

Basketball was a big part of my life growing up, and I was known as a pretty good three-point shooter. I'm still competitive by nature and I do enjoy golfing, although these days I get considerably fewer opportunities. I'm hoping our sons, Beau and Brooks, eventually give me an excuse to get back out there.

If you weren't in your current profession, what would you be doing?

I’d probably be working in healthcare, specifically in hospice care. I've always been drawn to helping people, and I think there is something incredibly meaningful about being there for individuals and their families during such an important and difficult time. I genuinely care about people and their stories, and I think hospice would give me the opportunity to provide comfort, compassion and support when it matters most.

What else should current or potential clients know about you?

I truly enjoy what I do and feel incredibly fortunate to be able to do it for a living. I genuinely care about the people I work with, and I never take for granted the trust clients place in me to be part of such an important aspect of their lives. Building those relationships, helping people navigate important decisions, and hopefully making a meaningful difference in their lives are what make this career so rewarding to me.
