Q&A

What part of your work gives you the most satisfaction?

Creating and maintaining relationships with our clients gives me the most satisfaction at work. While my role as office administrator involves less direct interaction with clients than it once did, I take great pride in knowing that my behind-the-scenes work helps my colleagues build strong client relationships and deliver an exceptional experience. I still cherish the relationships I've developed with clients over the years, and some of those connections have grown into lasting friendships that I deeply value.

What is a lesson you've learned that has shaped your professional approach?

One lesson that I have learned over the years is that you should always tackle your most difficult task first, before working on anything else. I used to be very guilty of putting off difficult tasks or conversations but have learned that life is much better if you just take care of those things first.

What is your favorite travel destination?

One of my favorite places to travel to is Lake Erie.  I know it isn’t the most glamorous of places to visit, but I think it is beautiful.  When I get overwhelmed or stressed, I like to head up to Lake Erie by myself and enjoy nature. Marble Head light house is one of my favorite spots there.

What book, podcast, or resource do you recommend?

If you enjoy murder mystery novels, I highly recommend Freida McFadden’s books. They usually pull me in within the first few pages. If a book doesn’t capture my attention right away, I tend to lose interest quickly. “The Housemaid” is one of my favorite books of hers.

What is the best advice you've ever received?

The best advice I have received lately is to just keep going. A good friend of mine gave me a bracelet that says “keep going,” and I wear it all the time as a reminder to not let life worry me too much and to continue moving forward.

If you weren't in your current profession, what would you be doing?

I love music!  So, if I wasn’t in financial planning industry you would most definitely hear me on the radio as a DJ.
